Save time with quick salads everyone will love

To all the working parents out there: we hear you. It's hard to put together good food that everyone enjoys that also accommodates everyone's schedules. Mealfit offers a lot of different options to help keep things fresh, but we also know that sometimes you (or your kids) want something way different. Man cannot live on Chicken and Rice Bowls alone. 

And we're here to tell you that those two things aren't mutually exclusive! There's actually an easy, cost-efficient, and fun way to combine those leftovers into an entirely new creation. All of these salad recipes are our own, but several of them came together entirely by accident. Salads are a quick way to keep everyone fed, but they can also be a great way to experiment with different foods and flavors. 

Here's a list of a few of our favorite salads that we've made recently. We'd love for you to try them out in your home, and maybe make a few of your own while you're at it.

This salad is incredibly fresh-tasting, and made of ingredients that you most likely have in the house already. The quinoa and chickpeas make it surprisingly filling and protein-rich, and it's an excellent option if you or anyone in your family is vegetarian.

This is another high-protein, no-meat salad option, and goes really well with our lemon dressing. It would also go well with our homemade strawberry vinaigrette dressing, which we recently made on Talk of Alabama.

Warm Pasta Salad - https://www.mealfit.co/blogs/recipes/warm-pasta-salad

This salad option takes a little bit more preparation, but it is an incredibly tasty pasta dish that your whole family will love. Add any protein of your choice and this can be a highly satisfying dinner for any night of the week.

This salad is a great example of how you can use your leftovers. Add some Mealfit roasted chicken and black beans to cheddar cheese, romain lettuce, and whatever other toppings you'd like to make this amazing summer salad. 

 

Kale and Rice Salad 

This is one of our favorites, because it was created completely by mistake! And now, it's been made on Talk of Alabama, and is actually on Mealfit's official menu. It's fresh, delicious, and fun, and is a testament to how a little creativity can help make some delicious dishes.
